Happy Monday to all you writers & creatives 👋

How is everyone today?

To start off the last week of May (!!), we have 52 writing opportunities from STAT, New York Magazine, Peace Insight, Brooklinen, The Texas Tribune, Byrdie, PEOPLE and tons more. This roundup has a reporting residency paying $8,000 per month as well as a good mix of editor, social media/marketing, and copywriting roles.

For premium TWJN subscribers, I’ve also tacked on a few more places that want your pitches — publications that will pay up to $750 for your story!

Every week for the past 4 years, I spend hours handpicking the best opportunities from hundreds (yes, hundreds!) of sites. I also include exclusive pitch calls and roles that editors and recruiters share with me. Save your time, energy, and sanity. 1️⃣ Calls to Pitch

($1 - $2 per word) MIT Technology Review | Editor at MIT Technology Review, Rachel Courtland, re-upped her call for pitches for the upcoming Nov/Dec print issue with the theme “The Body.” They’re looking for pitches for longer pieces: narrative features, compelling investigations, essential profiles, and super-sharp essays. All with some connection to technology. They’re specifically still looking for some really big narrative feature pitches. Pitch deadline is May 30. Pitch guide here. Send pitches to [email protected] with “PITCH” in the subject line of your email.
