1️⃣ Calls to Pitch
($0.50 per word) Allrecipes | Features Editor Bridget Olson is seeking pitches for "Midwest Salad Week" at Allrecipes.com. She’s after stories celebrating quirky, retro Midwest salads (Jell-O salad, cookie salad, ramen salad, seven-layer salad, etc.). They're looking for nostalgic recipes, regional deep-dives, interviews with experts, and salad-building tips. They're also open to general feature ideas that fit the Allrecipes vibe: stories about home cooks, regional food traditions, and cultural food trends. The standard rate is around 50 cents per word, depending on experience and assignment complexity. Send your pitch and 2-3 writing samples to [email protected], preferably by the end of this week.
