We’re living through an age of extreme weather and climate, extreme violence, extreme economic inequality, extreme food insecurity, extreme threats to democracy and more. Narratively is seeking stories about real people living through unique aspects of this “Age of Extremes.” Deadline is Dec 29. Submit pitches here

UT Austin’s Center for Media Engagement is still looking for reporters to write a news story about the impacts of climate change on their local area (350-450 words) as part of a research study. They’ve doubled their pay rate from $200 to $400! Email [email protected] (a) the approximate number of articles you have published in the past year in non-student outlets, (b) whether you would consider yourself a general assignment reporter/journalist, and (c) links to 3 or 4 articles you have written.
($400) International Policy Journal | Kelsey is seeking forward-looking ideas about progressive/left/internationalist foreign policy, policies that could be adopted and implemented soon. Aiming for $400 for a few op-ed length pieces and $0.50/word for a couple longer ones. Submit pitches here
