It should be 10-15 minutes long and a narrative doc (but open to oddities or sound forward essays). Would if love it's from outside of NA or EU. ($600+) BBC Travel | Eva is open for pitches again at the SpeciaList! She’s looking for 1) "Cool" (weather) city guides for summer; 2) Outdoor adventure guides for trending cities. And she’s always looking for fun city guides with cool, timely angles in general. SpeciaList is now open to food stories again (but please, still no craft beer). ($500 - $600) Popular Mechanics | Mike is looking for a freelance A/V writer to handle some commerce work for Popular Mechanics. Pressing need for someone who has tested outdoor speakers in the past, but he needs a person or two for various types of speakers, headphones, TVs, and possibly projectors throughout the year. Rates vary depending on the writer's experience and the amount of work needed for an update. He typically offers $500-$600 for a new story or a ground-up rewrite. (~ $480 / 40k Rupees) The Plank | Samarth has a list of story ideas to commission and wants to give them to reporters who know how to get information out from anywhere. Who can get inside a world, find sources, documents, data, and whatever else it takes to tell a fair and accurate story. At The Plank, they’re most interested in questions-led journalism—where the story is discovered in the process of reporting. This requires curious, tenacious, open-minded reporters who can stay on a story for a while to pull off a great magazine piece. If this sounds like you, and you work freelance, and you have the bandwidth to take on a (slightly ambitious) reporting project, then get in touch.
