1️⃣ Resource of the Week

If you’ve recently been laid off and/or are considering freelancing, I’d recommend giving this podcast a listen! In the new episode of Laid Off and Looking: The Cost of Freelancing, writing coach Caitlin Kelly talks about some basics you should keep in mind before pursuing freelancing full-time. Freelancing can be a great and flexible way to make a living as long as you know what to expect and are prepared for the challenges you may face along the way!

2️⃣ Calls to Pitch & Writing Contests

The winning writer will be awarded $3,000. The second- and third-place winners receive $2,000 and $1,000, respectively. An additional nine finalists will each receive $300.
