these pubs want your pitches ✨📝 📬

Happy Monday to all you writers & creatives 👋

How is everyone today?

I’m still away from my desk, but I wanted to share some great places for you all to bookmark for any brewing pitches and future story ideas. This mini issue has 20 pitch guides for various publications that are always open to pitches, plus a few deadlines that are coming up for previous pitch calls.

Check out this article by writer and editor Rainesford Stauffer about how to navigate your job search on social media. There are loads of scammy job listings and posts out there, which is why I carefully vet each job listing that I include in the newsletter. Give it a read! There’s some great insight in there ⤵️

🚨 REMINDER 🚨 ICYMI - I’m still away on holiday until tomorrow. Regular newsletters will resume on Wednesday July 9, and I will begin sifting through my inbox then as well. If there’s something important you need assistance with before then, please send an email and include “URGENT” at the start of the subject line.

You are currently a free subscriber and will receive a limited number of opportunities on Sundays & Wednesdays. TWJN Pro subscribers get complete access to newsletters along with exclusive access to our Pitch Call Database.

Positive News publishes good journalism about good things. They’re seeking unique pitches for the next quarterly print edition of Positive News magazine and, on an ongoing basis, for www.positive.news. They like to receive pitches for news or features that showcase the best examples of progress and possibility anywhere in the world. Pay is usually around 30p/word. Send your ideas to editor-in-chief, Lucy Purdy, at [email protected].
